# CoBlade-Game
A physics-driven wind energy sandbox. Build wind farms, author gusts that roll through the layout at wind speed, design composite blade layups with live feedback, and your wind farms evolve
## What it is
CoBlade-Game started as a visualization layer on top of a real Co-Blade structural-analysis pipeline (hence the name). Every aerodynamic and structural calculation, fatigue model, and wake deficit is physically grounded — Jensen cone wakes with Jimenez yaw deflection, Miner's-rule damage accumulation, Classical Laminate Theory (CLT) for blade design, Blade-Element Aerodynamics, Multi-Body-Dynamics (MBDyn), Vortex Particle airflow effects!
Then we added weapons to the wind turbines and mutant walking/driving turbines because the creative director (the developer's five-year-old) insisted.The soundtrack for the game is completely original music from the designer of Co-Blade himself.
## Features (v0.1.1-alpha)
**Weather Editor** (T): author gusts, direction shifts, lulls on a timeline. Watch them propagate through the farm in a 2D top-down schematic with an upstream injection plane.
**Blade Designer** (F2): drag-drop composite ply editor with 6 materials. See E_eff, mass, cost, and panel frequency update in real time as you change layup.
**Condition Monitoring** (F3): three-tier vibration analysis per turbine — beam mode frequency trending, panel frequency drop detection, kurtosis-based crack detection.
**Technology Tree** (G): research points from power generation unlock features across three eras.
**Mutant Walker** (F4): turn any turbine into a walking or driving contraption on tower-segments-as-legs. Step frequency too high? It topples.
**Wake Combat**: yaw a turbine and its wake steers onto downstream turbines. Visualized as a red beam — target your neighbors.
## Steam Deck ready
- Native controller support — full game playable with just the Deck controls, no keyboard needed
- Auto-detected low-power preset keeps 60 FPS on the Deck APU
- UI pre-scaled for the 1280×800 display
## Requirements
- Windows 10/11 x64 OR Steam Deck (SteamOS via Proton)
- GPU with DirectX 12 or Vulkan support
- Python 3 optional (enables the mock MBDyn real-time structural-dynamics IPC in the dev panel; game runs fine without it)

## Status
Alpha. Shipping Milestones 1-4 from the design doc — core loop, visual identity, depth, chaos. Next: Music Mode (M5) where turbines become instruments, plus localization (German/Danish/Spanish/Chinese/Japanese/Korean) and Steam demo page.
Feedback welcome on the community discussion board. This is pre-Early Access; expect rough edges.
